about MEA

how we work

Our collaborative approach combines the power of the law with the resolve of communities facing environmental injustice.

We provide client-centered legal services to individuals and grassroots groups taking on environmental threats in their communities.

We advocate for environmental policies that protect our natural resources and the health of Wisconsin families.

We give Wisconsinites the resources they need to hold industry and government accountable to environmental and public health standards.

Where we work

The state of Wisconsin encompasses territories of Dakota, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Mohegan, Mohican, Ojibwe, Oneida, Pequot, and Potawatomi nations. Most of these nations and their peoples remain present within what we now call Wisconsin.
