After growing up in Minnesota, there were only a few other places Debby would consider living – Wisconsin is one of them. After getting her degree in Education from Mankato State University she moved to St. Louis for work. There she met her husband Dan and after starting their family they moved to Madison for graduate school. She completed her Master’s in Public Policy from the La Follette School of Public Affairs and worked for the state of Wisconsin doing grant administration. Then she took her first nonprofit job and has not looked back.
Debby’s passion is working for a just, healthy and kind world. She has worked for the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, Community Shares of Wisconsin and now has a happy home at Midwest Environmental Advocates.
Debby loves quilting, reading books, ultimate frisbee, family and travel (the more new countries in her passport the better!).
