Midwest Environmental Advocates regularly works with and represents individuals and communities disproportionately impacted by pollution because of where they live. We develop their knowledge of the law and leadership skills regardless of their ability pay. Every day we promote our brand of justice by expanding equal access to the law and advocating for a healthy living environment for all people.
Our healthy air activities include a broad community collaboration in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley to encourage conversion of a coal-fired power plant to natural gas; and using diverse legal tools, such as the Clean Water Act, to enforce cleaner actions by air polluters.
“It’s not just a fight for clean air, but a fight for everyone in this country to live in a personal environment in which he can live like a human being.”
